XC: Tent Trailer, Donations and Matching Funds
Lady Rams and Parents,
One of the points of pride of the Cross Country and Track & Field Programs is our incredible tent set-up/ apparatus. The Sport’s Boosters has helped us in the purchasing of these tents and parent volunteers have facilitated with the maintenance, transportation, storage and the loaning or purchasing of additional items to help in providing our student-athletes this home base during our numerous competitions.
Several long-time supporting families have been hoping to provide the cross country and track teams with a cargo trailer to ease the burden of managing equipment for home and away meets for both sports. With the approval of the coaches (track included) and administration a trailer is on order and will be delivered mid-season (October 2016) at no direct cost to our athletic programs. This will help in the storage and transportation of our tent city for years to come.
We are asking for additional funds to outfit the trailer and purchase items that have been on-loan from families such as tables, beverage coolers, storage shelving, heaters etc.
From the generosity of a few families, we have a $1,000 matching funds to support the outfitting of the trailer and purchase of items listed above. These funds would be used to complete the trailer and replace family items on loan to the team(s).
This is not a requirement to participate or donate. It is entirely voluntary. The trailer is coming and your student athletes will benefit regardless if another penny is donated.
If you would like to join in the reward of giving and make use of the matching funds simply make a check payable to Rockford Cross Country and give it to a coach by the banquet date.
Upon request, a letter with the RPS tax ID will be prepared for your donation.
Thank you to those that have done the leg work in getting the School District to purchase the trailer, those individuals that have donated matching funds, the numerous families and individuals that have helped with our tents in the past and to those of you that will donate and/or help with the tents in the future.
