Results: Portage Early Bird - Boys 1st / Girls 3rd

Congratulations to both teams on breaking the ice to the 2016 cross country season.

The boys finished first in the field of 18 different schools/organizations with junior Cole Johnson setting the pace finishing first overall.

The ladies finished third overall with an outstanding nine girls with a personal record (PR or best 5K time).

If you are new to cross country at the high school, this meet format is not the usual invitational procedure where there are varsity races (top 7 runners) and reserve or junior varsity races (everyone else). The next race at the Bath Invite will follow a more traditional format with varsity races (by school size or class) and junior varsity races by gender. Hope to see you out in Bath, MI on September 10th.
